RV-426 - Spacey Reverb

The RV-426 is not  a conventional reverb pedal.

Inspired by the eerie ambient soundscapes of science fiction cinema, RV-426 transforms simple reverberation into evolving atmospheres, swelling feedback textures and haunting self-oscillating soundscapes. From subtle room ambience to vast, alien expanses, RV-426 invites exploration beyond the boundaries of traditional reverb. 

At its heart lies a carefully tuned digital reverb engine paired with an all-analog JFET dry signal path. Independent controls for regeneration, filtering, decay and dry-kill allow everything from natural ambience to endless evolving textures, while the dedicated Swell circuit introduces controllable feedback surges that can bloom instantly or emerge gradually over several seconds.

Atmosphere controls

• Decay - determines the size/length of the reverb. 
  • Large/Small range switch 
• Regen - sets a baseline level of feedback
• Filter - resonant low-pass filter, acting on the wet signal to enable the reverb to sit in front or behind your playing. 

Swell engine 

• Dedicated soft-touch Swell footswitch, activating a secondary, additive feedback pathway to the regenerative feedback
• Rise-Time control determines swell time (instant to ~10 seconds) 

Mix and level

• Boost control, offering up to 12dB of gain (can get dirty!) 
• Mix control
• Dry kill - uniquely not a simple switch, but a continuous control taking the mix from 50:50 all the way to 100% wet. 

• Soft touch, intelligent microcontroller controlled relay true bypass with bypass memory and momentary mode
• Beautiful metallic space blue powder coat finish, top mounted jacks and standard 9v DC power
• Soldered, wired and assembled completely by hand in Manchester, UK

Note: RV-426 is made in small batches. Once stock is exhausted, orders will switch to "pre-order" with a lead time of approximately 4 weeks.
