The silicon "Fuzz Face" is a legendary pedal, used on countless recordings for over 50 years and famed for its no-nonsense, noisy, raw power. Any pedal builder worth their salt will at some point make one and quickly realise that despite being a simple circuit, getting it right is more than just random guesswork. 

Gigahearts have expanded the classic schematic, and implemented a comprehensive range of sensible adaptations to the circuit. We retain all the MK1 features and add a few more, without changing the core components or sound:

• NEW Unique "Vintage/Modern" toggle. In vintage mode, you have the classic "Fuzz Face" bias network, where the maximum output is over unity but not considered "really loud". Use this if you want to remain old school, and are playing into a cooking valve amp. Flip to modern mode, and the bias network is reconfigured offering a significant increase in headroom, useful for modern clean pedal platforms.
• Bias control, which offers a huge range of fuzz tones and characters within a single turn of a potentiometer. Everything from a "hot" 7.2v bias, through the standard 4.5v, down to the "EJ" 3.1v all the way to a spitting and gated cold 0.7v -plus every shade inbetween. 
• Transistor selection (that shall remain secretive!) which is unique to our knowledge in a commercial "si FF" variant and offers roaring distortion, and great cleanup in an extremely consistent and stable package. 
• Body trimmer that can be set to taste and offers a broad range of bass content / treble cut. Want booming? You've got it! Prefer thinner? No problem... Now on the front not hidden inside. 
• NEW Input trimmer, which replicates the rolling off of a guitar volume pot.
• A pair of internal bias controls with test points for the experimental fuzz enthusiast! These are "factory set" and labelled, but you are free to sculpt your own circuit with some simple tools (multimeter, precision screwdriver). 
• A total of 22 components (not counting PSU/polarity protection/switching) vs the classic 11. 
• NEW Soft touch, intelligent microcontroller controlled relay true bypass with bypass memory and momentary modes
• Beautiful "Stone Grey" textured powder coat enclosure, standard 9v DC power, robust true bypass switching and top mounted jacks. 
• Soldered, wired and assembled completely by hand in Manchester, UK. 

Note: Siliface is made in small batches. Once stock is exhausted, orders will switch to "pre-order" with a lead time of approximately 4 weeks.
